How do I disable the touchscreen on my Lenovo?

Published in Lenovo Touchscreen 1 min read

You can disable the touchscreen on your Lenovo device through the Device Manager. Here's how:

  1. Press the Windows key + X on your keyboard. This will open the Quick Link menu.

  2. Select "Device Manager" from the menu.

  3. In the Device Manager window, find "Human Interface Devices" and expand the category by clicking the arrow next to it.

  4. Look for "HID-compliant touchscreen" within the expanded "Human Interface Devices" section.

  5. Right-click on "HID-compliant touchscreen".

  6. Select "Disable device" from the context menu. A warning message may appear asking for confirmation. Click "Yes" to confirm.

Your touchscreen should now be disabled. To re-enable it, simply repeat the steps above and select "Enable device" instead of "Disable device."
