How to Put a Lip Mask On
Applying a lip mask is simple and can significantly improve your lip health. Here's how to do it:
Before applying, ensure your lips are clean and slightly damp, but not soaking wet. Lightly wetting your lips with water helps the mask adhere better and prevents dryness. Avoid applying to bone-dry lips.
Applying the Lip Mask
- Scoop a small amount: Use a clean fingertip or a Q-tip to scoop out a small amount of lip mask.
- Evenly distribute: Gently smear the mask all over your lips. Rub your lips together to ensure complete coverage.
- Remove excess: If you have any excess product, gently blot it away.
Different Types of Lip Masks
The application method may vary slightly depending on the type of lip mask:
- Sheet masks: These are pre-cut masks that you place over your lips. Ensure the entire lip area is covered.
- Cream or balm masks: These are applied directly from the container, as described above.
- Overnight masks: Apply generously before bed and wipe off any excess in the morning.
Aftercare
Leave the mask on for the recommended time, usually 15-20 minutes for standard masks, or overnight for sleeping masks. After removing the mask, you can apply your usual lipstick or lip balm.
