Removing your MagSafe wallet is simple, but the question can refer to two different actions: physically detaching it from your iPhone or removing it from the Find My network for tracking. Here's how to do both.
Physically Removing Your MagSafe Wallet
The Apple MagSafe Wallet attaches to the back of your iPhone using strong magnets. To physically remove it:
- Simply grip the wallet and gently pull it away from the back of your iPhone.
The magnetic connection will release, and you can detach the wallet. It's designed for easy attachment and removal.
Removing Your MagSafe Wallet from Find My
If you've added your MagSafe wallet to the Find My network for tracking (available on newer models) and you plan to sell it, give it away, or no longer want it tracked, you need to remove it from your Apple ID.
Follow these steps using the Find My app on your iPhone:
- Go to the Find My app on your iPhone.
- Tap Devices at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of your iPhone Wallet with MagSafe.
- Tap Remove This Device, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Completing these steps will disconnect the wallet from your Apple ID and the Find My network, preventing you from seeing its location and allowing someone else to set it up with their device if desired.
