The full form of LCF is Lowest Common Factor.
The lowest common factor, also abbreviated as l.c.f., is a concept used in mathematics. It's the smallest number that is a factor of two or more given numbers. For example, if you have the numbers 6 and 8, their factors are:
- Factors of 6: 1, 2, 3, 6
- Factors of 8: 1, 2, 4, 8
The common factors are 1 and 2. The lowest common factor is 1.
Note that finding the "lowest common factor" is less common than finding the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) or the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM). The LCF will always be 1 unless the numbers share a common factor that is not 1.
