To export your favorites (bookmarks) from Microsoft Edge, follow these simple steps:
-
Open Microsoft Edge: Launch the Edge browser on your computer.
-
Access Favorites: Click the Favorites icon (it looks like a star) located in the upper-right corner of the browser window. If you don't see the star, look for three horizontal dots (the "Settings and more" menu) then "Favorites".
-
Open Favorites Settings: In the Favorites panel that appears, click the three horizontal dots (the "More options" menu) within the Favorites window and select "Export favorites". Or, select the settings gear if present.
-
Choose a Save Location: A file explorer window will open, allowing you to choose where to save your exported favorites file. This file will be saved in the HTML format. Navigate to your desired folder (e.g., your Desktop, Documents folder), and give the file a descriptive name if you wish.
-
Save the File: Click the "Save" button. Your Edge favorites will now be saved as an HTML file in the location you specified. This file can then be imported into other browsers, or used as a backup of your bookmarks.
