- Avoid mixing near the edges: Mixing paint near the edges of the palette could lead to it spreading onto the damp surface. Try to keep your mixes towards the center of the palette.
Remember, you can always add more water to your mix if it becomes too thick. However, if you're finding that your paint is consistently too runny, it may be helpful to adjust the moisture level of your wet palette.
