Following their elaborate schemes, Linus admits to his involvement, resulting in the entire Ocean's team being apprehended. They are processed and prepared for extradition back to the United States. As they are being transported to the airport, Molly Star, an Interpol agent who had been working with them (and had a romantic connection with Linus), reappears. However, the real surprise comes when Molly gives Linus the key to his handcuffs and reveals that she is actually his mother and part of the heist all along, orchestrated to free them and add another layer to the deception. This clever twist leaves the audience with the impression that the team outsmarted law enforcement once again and that family bonds played a crucial role in their success.
