How to Use Nail Length Stickers?

Published in Nail Extensions 2 mins read

Nail length stickers (also known as nail extension stickers or forms) are used to help you create artificial nail extensions. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use them:

  1. Preparation: Ensure your nails are clean, dry, and free of any polish or oils. Push back your cuticles.

  2. Remove the Sticker: Carefully peel off a single nail extension sticker from the sheet.

  3. Preserve Remaining Stickers: Stick the remaining circular stickers onto the back of the paper holder. This prevents them from sticking to each other or getting damaged.

  4. Tear (If Necessary): Some stickers may have a dotted line. If so, tear the sticker along this line. This is usually done to create the desired shape or to make it easier to apply.

  5. Apply to Fingertip: Position the sticker onto your fingertip, aligning it with the edge of your natural nail. The sticker should extend beyond the natural nail, creating a form for the extension. Ensure the sticker is centered for a balanced extension.

  6. Secure the Sides: Stick the sides of the sticker together underneath your fingertip. This creates a stable form to hold the extension material. Make sure it's snug but not too tight to avoid discomfort.

  7. Begin Extension: Now you're ready to apply your chosen nail extension material (acrylic, gel, etc.) onto the sticker form and blend it with your natural nail. Sculpt the extension to the desired shape and length.

  8. Curing/Drying: Follow the instructions for your chosen nail extension material. If using gel, cure it under a UV/LED lamp. If using acrylic, allow it to air dry.

  9. Remove the Sticker Form: Once the extension material has hardened, carefully remove the sticker form.

  10. File and Shape: File and shape the extension to your desired finish.

  11. Finishing Touches: Apply a top coat for added shine and protection.
