A LAN tester is a device used to verify the proper connection and functionality of network cables, particularly those used in Local Area Networks (LANs). They are essential tools for network technicians, installers, and administrators to diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

LAN testers provide several crucial functions:

  • Continuity Testing: They verify that each wire in a cable is properly connected from one end to the other, ensuring that there are no breaks or short circuits.
