How Long Is Broken Nose Surgery?

Published in Nose Surgery 1 min read

Reduction surgery for a broken nose typically takes about 20 minutes. This procedure is generally completed in a single day.
After the surgery, a plaster cast is usually applied to the nose for approximately 7 to 8 days to provide support and stability during the initial healing phase. Patients are advised to refrain from engaging in contact sports for an additional 6 to 10 weeks to minimize the risk of re-injury. If the final appearance or alignment of the nose is not satisfactory after this period, further corrective measures may be considered.
