What To Do After a Nosebleed

  1. Stop the Bleeding: Apply gentle pressure to the soft part of your nose, just below the bony bridge, for about 10-15 minutes. Make sure you breathe through your mouth.
  2. Avoid Nose Irritation: Try not to pick or blow your nose, even if it feels uncomfortable. Doing so may dislodge the clot.
  3. Rest and Relax: Avoid any strenuous activity, such as playing sports, for 24 hours after the bleeding has stopped.
  4. Avoid Heat: Steer clear of hot food, hot drinks, and hot showers or baths for at least 24 hours, as they can dilate blood vessels, potentially causing more bleeding.
