The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world. It covers approximately 63 million square miles and contains more than half of the free water on Earth. This makes it by far the largest of the world's ocean basins.

The Pacific Ocean stretches from the Western coasts of North and South America to Oceania, Asia and Russia. It is also the deepest of the world's oceans, with an average depth of 12,925 feet.
