To export a calendar from Outlook 365, follow these steps:
-
Open Outlook and Navigate to Calendar: Launch Outlook 365 and switch to the Calendar view.
-
Select the Calendar: In the left pane, locate and select the specific calendar you want to export. If you have multiple calendars, ensure you select the correct one.
-
Access the Save Calendar Option: Click on File in the top left corner of the Outlook window. Then, select Save Calendar.
-
Choose a File Name and Location: In the "Save As" dialog box, you can either accept the default file name or type a new one in the File name box. Choose a location on your computer where you want to save the exported calendar file.
-
More Options (Optional): Before saving, you may want to click More Options to customize the export. Here you can specify:
- Date Range: Choose the period you want to export (e.g., specific dates, the entire calendar, or a certain number of days).
- Detail: Select the level of detail to include (e.g., availability only, limited details, or full details). "Full details" includes all calendar entry information.
-
Save the Calendar: Click Save. Outlook 365 will export the calendar as an iCalendar (.ics) file.
-
Review the Summary: Before saving, review the summary, next to "More Options", that shows the Calendar Name, Date Range and Detail level to ensure it meets your requirements.
The exported .ics file can then be imported into other calendar applications, shared with others, or used as a backup.
