How Do I Share My Google Password Manager Password?

Published in Password Management 1 min read

You can share passwords saved in your Google Password Manager directly with family members who are part of your Google Family Group. Here's how:

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. Go to Google Password Manager. You can do this by typing passwords.google.com into your address bar.
  3. Under "Passwords," find and select the password you want to share.
  4. Select Share.
  5. Choose the family member(s) you want to share the password with.
  6. Click Done.

The selected password will then be saved in the receiver's Google Account and will be available for autofill on websites and apps.

Important Considerations:

  • Family Group Requirement: You must be part of a Google Family Group to use the password sharing feature.
  • Recipient's Account: The password will be saved to the recipient's Google Account.
  • Autofill: Once shared, the password will be available for autofill on websites and apps where it is stored.
  • Unsharing: You can unshare a password at any time, revoking access for the family member(s).
