Bending PEX tubing with heat involves carefully heating the tubing to make it pliable enough to shape. Here's how it's typically done:

  1. Heat the area: Heat the section of PEX tubing you intend to bend to approximately 275°F (145°C). You'll notice the tubing starts to become translucent as it reaches this temperature. Caution: Avoid overheating, which can damage the PEX.

  2. Use a Bending Jig/Form: Once heated, quickly place the PEX tubing over a bending jig or form that has the desired bend radius. This helps maintain the shape as the PEX cools and hardens.
