To change the key photo of your Live Photo and effectively change what's displayed in a "live picture frame," follow these steps:
- Open the Live Photo: Find the Live Photo you want to adjust in your Photos app and tap to open it.
- Tap Edit: Look for the "Edit" button, typically located in the upper-right corner of the screen. Tap it.
- Move the Slider: Once in edit mode, you'll see a timeline at the bottom of the photo. This timeline represents the frames of the Live Photo. Move the slider left or right to scrub through the frames.
- Choose Your New Frame: Stop the slider on the frame you want to use as the new key photo (the one that's displayed when the photo isn't "live").
- Make Key Photo: With your desired frame selected, release your finger from the slider. A "Make Key Photo" option should appear (it might be an icon or a text label). Tap "Make Key Photo."
- Save Changes: Tap "Done" to save your changes.
Now, when you view your Live Photo, the frame you selected will be the still image you see until you tap and hold to play the "live" portion.
