How to Rotate a PDF in Photopea?

Published in Photopea Editing 2 mins read

You can rotate the view of a PDF document in Photopea using the Rotate View tool, but note that this doesn't rotate the actual PDF document itself, just your view of it.

Using the Rotate View Tool

Here's how to rotate the view of a PDF in Photopea:

  1. Locate the Tool: The Rotate View tool is found just below the Hand tool in the Photopea toolbar.

  2. Rotate the View: Click and drag anywhere on the document to rotate it around the center of the screen.

  3. Reset the Rotation: To return to the original 0° orientation, click the "Reset" button located at the top of the Photopea interface.

Important Note: This method only rotates how you are viewing the PDF document. It does not rotate the PDF content itself. If you need to permanently rotate the content of the PDF, you will have to use a different method.

Additional Information

It's important to understand the difference between rotating the view and rotating the actual content of a document. This tool is great for quickly changing your viewing angle as needed, without altering the underlying PDF file. For example, it's useful when you might want to look at a document sideways without actually having to alter the document itself.
