You can add effects to layers in Photopea by using Layer Styles.
Here's how:
-
Access Layer Styles:
- Double-click the layer you want to add effects to. This will open the Layer Style window.
- Alternatively, right-click the layer and choose Blending Options. This also opens the Layer Style window.
-
Choose and Apply Effects:
-
In the Layer Style window, you'll see a list of available effects (also known as Layer Styles) on the left side. Examples include:
- Drop Shadow: Adds a shadow behind the layer.
- Inner Shadow: Adds a shadow inside the edges of the layer.
- Outer Glow: Adds a glow around the outside of the layer.
- Inner Glow: Adds a glow inside the edges of the layer.
- Bevel & Emboss: Creates a 3D raised or recessed effect.
- Color Overlay: Changes the color of the entire layer.
- Gradient Overlay: Applies a gradient across the layer.
- Pattern Overlay: Fills the layer with a pattern.
- Stroke: Adds a border around the layer.
-
Enable an effect by clicking the checkbox next to its name.
-
-
Customize Effects:
- After enabling an effect, click on the name of the effect itself (not just the checkbox) to access its specific settings. This allows you to customize parameters like color, size, opacity, distance, angle, blend mode, and more.
-
Apply and Close:
- Once you've customized the effect to your liking, click OK to apply the changes and close the Layer Style window.
Remember that you can add multiple effects to a single layer, and you can adjust or remove effects at any time by reopening the Layer Style window.
