To add a drop shadow in Photopea, follow these steps:
-
Go to the Layers panel. This is usually located on the right side of the Photopea interface.
-
Select the layer to which you want to add the drop shadow.
-
Click the "fx" button at the bottom of the Layers panel. This button represents "Add Layer Style".
-
From the dropdown menu that appears, choose "Drop Shadow".
-
The Layer Style panel will open. Here, you can adjust various settings to customize the drop shadow to your liking. Common settings include:
- Blend Mode: Determines how the shadow interacts with the underlying layers.
- Color: The color of the drop shadow.
- Opacity: The transparency of the drop shadow. A lower opacity makes the shadow more subtle.
- Angle: The direction of the light source casting the shadow.
- Distance: How far the shadow is offset from the object.
- Spread: How much the shadow is enlarged.
- Size: The blurriness of the shadow. A larger size creates a softer, more diffused shadow.
-
Adjust the settings in the Layer Style panel until you achieve the desired look. You can see a real-time preview of the drop shadow on your image as you adjust the settings.
-
Once you're satisfied with the settings, click "OK" to apply the drop shadow to the selected layer.
That's it! Your layer now has a drop shadow. You can always double-click the "Drop Shadow" effect in the Layers panel to re-open the Layer Style panel and adjust the settings later.
