To send an image layer back in the layer stack within Photoshop, use keyboard shortcuts.
Here's how:
-
Select the Layer: First, make sure you've selected the image layer you want to move to the back. You can do this in the Layers panel (Window > Layers if it's not visible).
-
Keyboard Shortcuts:
-
Send Backward (One Layer): Press Command + [ (Mac) or Control + [ (Windows). This will move the selected layer one position backward in the layer stack.
-
Send to Back (All the Way): Press Shift + Command + [ (Mac) or Shift + Control + [ (Windows). This will move the selected layer to the very bottom of the layer stack (beneath all other visible layers).
-
In essence, the left bracket "[" is the key to sending layers backward.
