How do I delete a custom pattern in Photoshop?

Published in Photoshop Patterns 1 min read

To delete a custom pattern in Photoshop, you'll use the Preset Manager. Here's how:

  1. Go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager.
  2. In the Preset Manager dialog box, click the "Preset Type" dropdown menu and select "Patterns". This will display all of your currently installed patterns.
  3. Select the pattern(s) you want to delete. You can select multiple patterns by holding down the Shift key (for a contiguous selection) or the Ctrl key (or Cmd key on a Mac) for non-contiguous selections.
  4. Click the "Delete" button.
  5. Photoshop will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click "OK".
  6. Click "Done" to close the Preset Manager.

The selected custom patterns are now removed from your Photoshop pattern library.
