Importing Presets

You can easily import and use new presets in Photoshop Camera Raw using the following method:

  1. Open Camera Raw: First, open your image in Photoshop and go to Filter > Camera Raw Filter. This launches the Camera Raw interface.

  2. Access Presets: In the Camera Raw window, look for and select the Presets tab. This tab is where your imported and default presets are stored.

  3. Import the Presets:

    • Click the ... (three dots) icon, usually found in the Presets panel.
    • From the dropdown menu, choose Import Profiles & Presets. This action will open your system's file browser.
  4. Select and Import:

    • Navigate to where you have saved your presets, which are often in ZIP format.
    • Select the ZIP file containing your presets.
    • Click the Import button.
  5. Apply and Repeat:

  • The imported presets will now appear in your Presets panel.
  • Click on a preset to apply it to your image.
  • If you have more preset ZIP files, repeat the process to add them to Camera Raw.

Example

Let’s say you downloaded a collection of color grading presets in a zip file named "ColorGradingPresets.zip".

  1. You would start by opening an image in Photoshop and selecting the Camera Raw Filter.
  2. Next, select the Presets tab.
  3. Then, click on the ... and choose Import Profiles & Presets.
  4. In the file browser, locate and select the ColorGradingPresets.zip file and click Import.
  5. Now, you will see those presets in your list, and you can apply them.
