To change the text in Photoshop CS6, follow these steps:

  1. Select a Type Tool: Choose either the Horizontal Type Tool or the Vertical Type Tool from the Tools panel.

  2. Select the Text Layer: In the Layers panel, either select the specific text layer you want to edit, or directly click on the text within the image canvas. Clicking on the text on the canvas will automatically select the corresponding text layer.

  3. Edit the Text:

    • Position the Insertion Point: Click within the text where you want to make changes.
    • Select Text:
      • Drag the cursor to select multiple characters.
      • Double-click a word to select the entire word.
      • Triple-click a line to select the entire line.
      • Click four times in a row to select all text within a text box.
    • Type or Delete: Once the text is selected or your insertion point is set, you can type new text, delete existing text, or paste text from another source.
    • Use the Character Panel: For more advanced text editing, you can use the Character panel (Window > Character). Here, you can change the font, font size, kerning, tracking, leading, and more.
  4. Commit the Changes: After editing the text, commit the changes by:

    • Clicking the checkmark icon in the options bar at the top of the screen.
    • Pressing the Enter key on the numeric keypad.
    • Clicking outside of the text box with the Type Tool still selected.

These steps outline the basic process for modifying text in Photoshop CS6. Remember that you can adjust various text properties via the Character Panel.
