How do I make the quick selection tool bigger in Photoshop?

Published in Photoshop Tools 1 min read

You can adjust the size of the Quick Selection tool in Photoshop using a few different methods.

Here's how:

  • Using the Bracket Keys: The quickest way to change the brush size is by using the [ (left bracket) key to decrease the size and the ] (right bracket) key to increase the size.

  • Using the Options Bar: With the Quick Selection Tool selected, look at the Options Bar at the top of the Photoshop window. There you should find a setting that shows the current size of the Quick Selection brush. Click the drop down arrow beside the value.

    • This will bring up a window where you can adjust several settings for the quick selection tool, including it's diameter, hardness, spacing, angle and roundness.
    • You can either type a number into the Size field, or drag the slider to adjust the size.
