How Do You Mirror a Pixel Camera?

Published in Pixel Camera Settings 1 min read

To mirror the front-facing camera on a Google Pixel phone, you need to adjust the "Save selfie as previewed" setting. This setting allows you to save your selfie as you see it in the camera preview, effectively mirroring the image.

Here's how to find and adjust this setting:

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Go to the camera settings (often accessed through a gear icon or a "More" option).
  3. Look for "More settings" or a similar option that leads to advanced settings.
  4. Scroll down until you find the option "Save selfie as previewed."
  5. Toggle the switch to turn mirroring on or off. Turning it on saves the selfie as mirrored (what you see in the preview), and turning it off saves the selfie as it would appear un-mirrored (flipped).

By toggling this setting, you can control whether your front-facing camera photos are mirrored or not.
