Weight loss can occur after a D&C (Dilation and Curettage) procedure.
Here's why weight loss is possible after a D&C:
- Pregnancy Weight: According to Alan Lindemann, MD, OB-GYN, it is normal to gain some weight during pregnancy. A D&C ends a pregnancy, and therefore, the body may naturally lose some of the weight gained during the pregnancy. The amount of weight loss experienced depends on how far along the pregnancy was when the D&C was performed.
