Input Ports: Charging the Power Bank

These ports are used to replenish the power bank's battery. Common input port types include:

  • Micro-USB: This was a very common input port on older power banks.

  • USB-C: Increasingly common, USB-C ports can often function as both input and output ports, offering faster charging speeds and greater versatility.

  • Lightning: Some power banks may include a Lightning port for charging, primarily to cater to Apple device users.

Output Ports: Charging Other Devices

These ports are used to supply power from the power bank to charge devices like smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered gadgets. The most common type is:

  • USB-A: This is the standard rectangular USB port widely used for charging. Many power banks have multiple USB-A ports to charge several devices simultaneously.
