Published in PowerPoint Photo Album 2 mins read

You can easily reorder the pictures in your PowerPoint photo album by accessing the album's edit options and using the simple arrow controls.

To change the display order of the pictures in your PowerPoint photo album, follow these steps:

Steps to Reorder Photos

  1. Open the PowerPoint presentation that contains your photo album.
  2. Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon.
  3. In the Images group, click the Photo Album dropdown.
  4. Select Edit Photo Album... from the menu. This opens the "Edit Photo Album" dialog box.
  5. In the dialog box, look at the list of files under the heading "Pictures in album." This list shows the photos currently included in your album in their current order.
  6. Click the file name of the picture that you want to move to select it.
  7. Once the picture's file name is selected, use the arrow buttons located to the right of the list to change its position.
    • Click the Up arrow to move the selected picture higher in the list (meaning it will appear earlier in the presentation).
    • Click the Down arrow to move the selected picture lower in the list (meaning it will appear later in the presentation).
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any other pictures you wish to reposition within the album.
  9. After you have finished reordering, click the Update button at the bottom of the dialog box to apply your changes to the photo album presentation.

Adjusting the order using these arrows directly controls the sequence in which the slides appear in your photo album presentation.
