Published in PowerPoint Tips 1 min read

To copy and paste the position of a shape in PowerPoint, click on the shape you want to copy and then paste it anywhere else on the PowerPoint slide. This will override any default vertical or horizontal alignments.

In more detail, here are the steps:

  1. Select the Shape: Click on the shape whose position you want to copy.
  2. Copy: Copy the shape. You can do this by:
    • Pressing Ctrl + C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac).
    • Right-clicking on the shape and selecting "Copy".
  3. Paste: Paste the shape. You can do this by:
    • Pressing Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac).
    • Right-clicking on the slide and selecting "Paste."

The pasted shape will appear in the same position as the original shape. If you want to change the position of the pasted shape before pasting, simply click anywhere on the slide you wish to paste it before pasting.
