How to Know Baby Gender Without Ultrasound

Published in Pregnancy Testing 1 min read

There are a few accurate ways to know your baby's gender without relying on an ultrasound.

  • Noninvasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT): This blood test is usually done between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy. It analyzes fetal DNA circulating in the mother's blood, providing accurate gender information.
  • Genetic Testing: Methods like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) can also reveal the baby's sex. While these tests are usually performed for diagnostic purposes, they can also determine gender.

However, it's crucial to remember that many old wives' tales and "gender predictor tests" lack scientific backing and shouldn't be considered reliable methods for determining a baby's sex.
