To add another project in Adobe Premiere Pro, you essentially need to create a new project. You can do this directly within Premiere Pro's interface.
Here's how:
- Open Premiere Pro: Launch the Adobe Premiere Pro application.
- Go to the 'File' Menu: In the top menu bar, click on "File."
- Select 'New' and then 'Project': From the "File" menu, choose "New" and then select "Project..." This will open the New Project window.
- Name Your Project: In the New Project window, give your new project a descriptive name in the "Name" field.
- Choose a Location: Click the "Browse" button (or "Location") to select the folder where you want to save the project file. This is important for organization, as Premiere Pro projects can create numerous associated files. You can put it on your desktop, or inside a specific folder designed for your projects.
- Configure Project Settings (Optional): You can adjust project settings like the renderer. For most users, the default settings are fine, but advanced users may need to customize them.
- Click 'OK': Click the "OK" button to create the new project. Premiere Pro will then open the new project, ready for you to import media and start editing.
Now you have a new, separate Premiere Pro project open! You can have multiple projects open in Premiere Pro, but only one is active at a time. To switch between open projects, go to the "Window" menu.
