Undoing Actions in Pro Tools
Pro Tools offers several ways to undo actions, giving you flexibility in your workflow.
Keyboard Shortcuts
The quickest way to undo settings is by using keyboard shortcuts:
- Undo:
- Mac: Command + Z
- Windows: Ctrl + Z
- Redo:
- Mac: Command + Shift + Z
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + Z
Using the Edit Menu
You can also use the Edit menu:
- Go to the Edit menu in the Pro Tools menu bar.
- Select Undo or Redo from the list. The menu item will often display the last action that can be undone or redone.
Viewing the Undo History
For more complex undo/redo operations, you can access the Undo History window:
- Go to the Window menu.
- Select Undo History. This window displays a list of actions that can be undone. You can select specific actions from the list to undo them, effectively stepping back multiple actions at once.
