Currently, LEGO recycles a portion of the plastic used in its bricks, with the aim to increase this significantly in the future. In the first half of 2024, 22% of the plastic used in LEGO bricks came from renewable and recycled sources. This is an increase from 12% in 2023. LEGO plans to use only recycled or renewable plastics for all bricks by 2032.
LEGO's current use of recycled plastic is a step towards their sustainability goals. The company is actively working on making all bricks from recycled and renewable materials.
