There are two primary ways to clean resin mixing bowls: wipe out excess resin immediately, or let the resin cure and then flex the bowl to remove it.
Here's a breakdown of both methods:
Method 1: Cleaning Before the Resin Cures
- Wipe Thoroughly: Immediately after use, and before the resin starts to harden, use a paper towel or cloth to wipe out as much of the leftover resin as possible.
- Focus on Corners: Make sure you thoroughly clean around the corners and edges of the bowl to prevent sticky residue.
- Proper Disposal: Dispose of the resin-soaked paper towels properly, following safety guidelines.
Method 2: Cleaning After the Resin Cures
- Allow the Resin to Cure: Let the remaining resin in the mixing bowl completely harden.
- Flex the Bowl: Once the resin is cured, gently flex or bend the mixing bowl. This should cause the resin to separate from the bowl's surface.
- Remove the Resin: Carefully peel or pop out the cured resin from the bowl.
