Steps to Change the Linked View
To change which linked view controls the display of your Revit link in a specific host view, follow these steps:
- Open Visibility/Graphic Overrides: In the host view where you want to change the linked model's display, open the Visibility/Graphic Overrides dialog. You can do this by typing VV or VG on your keyboard, or by going to the 'View' tab and clicking 'Visibility/Graphics'.
- Navigate to Revit Links: In the Visibility/Graphic Overrides dialog, click on the Revit Links tab.
- Access Display Settings: Find the linked Revit model you want to adjust in the list. In the 'Display Settings' column for that link, click the button, which usually says "By Host View" by default.
- Change Control Method: The 'RVT Link Display Settings' dialog will open. At the top, you'll see a setting for 'Control'. Change the dropdown option from "By Host View" (or "Custom") to By Linked View.
