Published in Samsung Photography 2 mins read

You can edit photos directly on your Samsung phone using the built-in Gallery app. Here's how:

  1. Open the photo: Locate and open the photo you want to modify in the Gallery app.

  2. Access the Edit tools: Tap the "Edit" icon (usually a pencil or similar symbol) located at the bottom of the screen. This will open the photo editor.

  3. Markup: Tap "Markup" to access basic drawing and writing tools.

  4. Use the tools:

    • Pen: Tap the Pen icon to draw freehand on your photo.
    • Highlight: Select the Highlight tool to add highlights.
    • Text: Choose the Text tool to add text overlays. Tap the photo to place a text box. You can move the text box by touching and holding it, then dragging.
  5. Customize: Most editing tools offer customization options like color, brush size, and font. Look for these settings within the editor.

  6. Save your changes:

    • Tap "Done" after making your edits.
    • To save the edited photo as a new copy, tap "Save as copy" at the bottom of the screen. This preserves the original photo. If you tap "Save," your original photo will be overwritten with the edits.
