How Do I Add Date and Time to Photos on Samsung S10?

Published in Samsung S10 Camera 2 mins read

You can easily add the date and time directly onto your photos on a Samsung S10 by enabling the Watermark feature within the Camera app settings.

Adding a date and time watermark can be useful for organizing memories chronologically or simply having the capture information directly visible on the image itself. The Samsung S10's native camera app provides a straightforward way to do this.

Steps to Add Date and Time Watermark

Follow these simple steps within your Samsung Galaxy S10's Camera application:

  1. Open the Camera app. Launch the default camera application on your phone.
  2. Access Camera Settings. Tap on the Settings icon, usually represented by a gear shape, located within the camera interface.
  3. Find Watermark. Scroll through the camera settings options until you find the Watermark setting. Tap on it.
  4. Enable Watermark. Toggle the switch to Enable the Watermark feature if it is not already on.
  5. Enable Date and Time. Within the Watermark settings, ensure the option for Date and time is enabled.
  6. Customize (Optional). You also have the option to edit the Model name that appears on the watermark, if desired.
  7. Preview Changes. As you make these changes, you can see your modifications applied to a demo picture shown above the options. This allows you to see how the watermark will look before taking photos.

Once these settings are configured, any new photos you take with the default camera app will include the date and time watermark in the corner of the image.

Important Note: This feature bakes the date and time directly into the image file itself, usually in a corner. It's different from the metadata (EXIF data) which is stored separately within the file properties but not visible on the photo preview itself.
