How to Restart Samsung in Safe Mode

Published in Samsung Safe Mode 1 min read

To restart your Samsung phone in Safe Mode, follow these steps directly from the power menu options. Safe Mode can help you diagnose issues caused by third-party apps.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Press and hold the Power key on your Samsung device until the "Power off" screen is displayed. This screen typically shows options like Power off, Restart, and Emergency mode.
  2. Once the "Power off" screen is visible, tap and hold the "Power Off" icon. Do not just tap it once; hold it down until a new option appears.
  3. Continue holding the "Power Off" icon until the “Safe mode” option is displayed on the screen.
  4. Tap “Safe mode”. Your device will then begin the process of shutting down and restarting.
  5. Your device will restart to show the home screen in Safe mode. You will typically see "Safe mode" displayed in the bottom corner of the screen.

This process effectively isolates issues by only loading essential system software and pre-installed apps, preventing third-party applications from running automatically upon startup.
