According to SAP's documentation, Bank Customer Accounts (BCA) provides you with a system for operational banking that enables you to manage not only customer accounts, but also vostro and nostro accounts.

Key Functionality of SAP BCA

At its core, SAP BCA serves as the central hub for handling account-related processes within a bank. Its key functionality revolves around managing different account types:

  • Customer Accounts: These are the standard accounts held by a bank's individual and corporate clients (e.g., checking accounts, savings accounts).
  • Vostro Accounts: These are accounts held by a bank on behalf of another bank in the first bank's currency. Essentially, it's "your money held at our bank."
  • Nostro Accounts: These are accounts held by a bank at another bank, typically in the currency of the country where the second bank is located. It's "our money held at your bank."
