To color lines (strokes) in Sketchup, you need to access the color selection options for the stroke.
By default, your lines or "strokes" in Sketchup appear black. To change this default or apply a different color:
Changing Your Line Color
- Locate the Color Well: Find the "color well" associated with the stroke settings for the tool you are using (e.g., Line tool, or within Style settings).
- Open the Color Picker: Click the color well to open a color picker and select a different color.
- Select Your Color: Once the color picker window is open, you have several methods to choose your desired color, including:
- Using the color wheel to visually select a hue and shade.
- Choosing specific RGB (Red, Green, Blue) or HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) codes for precise color values.
- Employing several other methods available within the picker window, as detailed in Sketchup's documentation on Choosing Colors.
After selecting your color from the picker, your lines will be drawn or updated with the new color. This allows for greater visual distinction and styling in your Sketchup models.
