To select objects within SketchUp, you primarily use the Select tool, which has a convenient keyboard shortcut.
The most common way to activate the Select tool in SketchUp is by pressing the Spacebar. This is the default shortcut provided by the software.
Once the Select tool is active, you can use it to:
- Click on individual entities (edges, faces, components, groups) to select them.
- Drag a selection box around multiple entities. Dragging from left to right selects only objects fully inside the box (window selection). Dragging from right to left selects objects that are fully inside or crossing the box (crossing selection).
