Real rose water is transparent in color, essentially clear.
While some rose water may have a very faint pink hue due to the natural pigments from the roses, a bright pink color usually indicates the presence of added dyes or artificial ingredients. Therefore, when choosing rose water, it's best to look for a transparent or very lightly tinted product and always check the ingredient list to ensure it contains only rose water and/or water. An ingredient declaration should only list rose water, or water.
