Follow these steps carefully to delete your workspace:

  1. Access Workspace Settings:

    • From your desktop application, look at the sidebar on the left.
    • Click on your workspace name at the very top of the sidebar.
  2. Navigate to Settings:

    • In the dropdown menu that appears, click on Tools & settings.
    • Then, select Workspace settings. This will open a new tab or window in your web browser.
  3. Find the Deletion Option:

    • On the Workspace Settings page in your browser, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
    • Look for a section specifically titled Delete Workspace.
  4. Initiate Deletion:

    • Click the Delete Workspace button within that section.
  5. Confirm Your Decision:

    • A confirmation screen will appear explaining the implications of deleting the workspace.
    • You must check the box that says you want to confirm you want to delete the workspace.
  6. Finalize Deletion:

    • Enter your Slack account password in the provided field.
    • Click the Yes, delete my workspace button to permanently delete the workspace.

Important Considerations Before Deleting

  • Data Loss: Deleting a workspace is irreversible. All conversations, files, and integrations will be permanently removed.
  • Membership: Ensure all important members are aware of the deletion or have saved necessary information.
  • Primary Owner: Only the Primary Owner of a workspace can delete it.

Always double-check that you are deleting the correct workspace, as this action cannot be undone.
