To install or, more accurately, open Photos Legacy on a Windows PC, follow these steps if you already have the modern Photos app installed:
- Search for Photos: In the search box on the taskbar (usually located at the bottom of your screen), type "photos".
- Open the Photos App: From the search results, select the "Photos" app. This will open the latest version of the Photos application.
- Access Settings: Within the Photos app, locate and select "Settings". The location of settings may vary slightly depending on the Photos app version, but it is often represented by a gear icon.
- Open Photos Legacy: In the settings menu, look for a section labeled "Photos Legacy". Under that section, you should find an option that says "Open Photos Legacy". Select this option.
Photos Legacy will then open, allowing you to use the older version of the Photos application. It is important to note that Photos Legacy is typically only available if you have already updated to the newest version of the standard Photos app in Windows. If the option to "Open Photos Legacy" doesn't appear, it may not be an available option within your current Photos app version.
