How do you unhide a bend line in SOLIDWORKS?

Published in Solidworks Drawing Views 2 mins read

To unhide bend lines in a SOLIDWORKS drawing view, you typically navigate through the FeatureManager design tree within that view. This process allows you to toggle the visibility of the bend lines associated with the sheet metal flat pattern.

Unhiding Bend Lines in a Drawing View

Bend lines in a SOLIDWORKS drawing view are linked to the Flat-Pattern feature of your sheet metal part. Hiding these lines also affects the visibility of associated sheet metal bend notes. To make them visible again:

  1. Locate the FeatureManager Design Tree: Open the drawing containing the sheet metal part view. The FeatureManager design tree is usually on the left side of the SOLIDWORKS window.
  2. Find the Drawing View: In the FeatureManager tree, find and expand the node corresponding to the specific Drawing View that contains the sheet metal flat pattern you are working with.
  3. Expand the Flat-Pattern Feature: Within the expanded Drawing View node, locate and expand the Flat-Pattern feature.
  4. Access Bend Line Options: Right-click on Bend-Lines listed under the Flat-Pattern feature.
  5. Select Show: From the context menu that appears, select Show or Hide. If the bend lines are currently hidden, selecting Show will make them visible again in the drawing view.

This method provides direct control over the visibility of bend lines and their accompanying bend notes within specific drawing views.
