What is a breast stroke in swimming?

Published in Swimming Strokes 1 min read

Breaststroke is a swimming style where the swimmer is on their chest and the torso does not rotate. The arms move in front and then sideways, and the legs perform a frog-like kicking motion. Propulsion in breaststroke comes from both the arm pull and the leg kick. It is often considered one of the more difficult strokes to master due to the complex coordination required, particularly the recovery phase of the legs.
