You can check your Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) by viewing your Form 26AS online through the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Checking TDS via Form 26AS

You can access your TDS details through Form 26AS, which consolidates tax-related information associated with your PAN. Here's how:

  1. Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal: Go to the official website: www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home.
  2. Register or Log In:
    • If you are a new user: Register yourself on the portal.
    • If you are an existing user: Log in using your credentials (PAN/Aadhaar, password, and captcha).
  3. Navigate to 'My Account': Once logged in, go to the 'My Account' section.
  4. View Form 26AS: Click on the option to 'View Form 26AS'.
  5. Select Assessment Year and Format: Choose the relevant 'Assessment Year' for which you want to check your TDS details. Select 'PDF format' to download the file.
  6. Download and Open: Download the file. The PDF is password-protected. The password to open the file is your Date of Birth as per your PAN card (in DDMMYYYY format).
