What Destroys Tuberculosis?

Published in Tuberculosis treatment 1 min read

Certain drugs can destroy tuberculosis (TB). According to the TB pharmacopeia, the first-line drugs INH (Isoniazid) and RIF (Rifampin) are bactericidal and capable of killing 99 to 99.9% of M. tuberculosis cells in vitro within four to seven days. These drugs are particularly effective at rapidly reducing the bacterial load.
