Using your Bissell Cleanview vacuum is straightforward for keeping your floors clean. This guide covers the basic steps and highlights specific features like the automatic cord rewind.
Getting Started
Before you begin, ensure your Bissell Cleanview vacuum is properly assembled according to the instructions included with your model.
Operating Your Vacuum
- Plug In: Find a convenient electrical outlet and plug in the power cord.
- Power On: Locate the power switch (usually on the main body or handle) and turn the vacuum cleaner on.
- Vacuum: Push the vacuum back and forth over carpets or hard floors to clean. Adjust the height setting if your model has one to match the floor type.
- Clean Hard to Reach Areas: Use the included attachments (like the crevice tool or extension wand) to easily clean baseboards, corners, stairs, and other hard-to-reach areas.
Finishing Up
When you are finished cleaning:
- Turn Off: Turn off your Bissell Cleanview machine using the power switch.
- Unplug: Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Automatic Cord Rewind
Many Bissell Cleanview models feature an automatic cord rewind system for easy storage. To use the automatic cord rewind, make sure the machine is unplugged, and then hold onto the cord as it retracts to control the speed and prevent whipping (as shown in the video reference at 1:15).
Remember to empty the dirt tank or replace the bag (depending on your model) regularly for optimal performance.
