How do I change resolution in Premiere Pro?

Published in Video Editing 1 min read

To change the resolution of your sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro, you need to access the sequence settings. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sequence menu at the top of your Premiere Pro window.
  2. Select Sequence Settings.
  3. In the Sequence Settings window, you will see options to adjust the Frame Size (horizontal and vertical). These settings define the resolution of your sequence. Change these values to your desired resolution.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Keep in mind that changing the sequence settings will not automatically resize existing footage. You might need to adjust the scale or position of your clips to fit the new resolution. It's generally best practice to set the correct sequence settings before you start editing.
